These are all good suggestions however, I use StompSoft's Recover Lost Data to recover any data that I've misplaced(deleted). I find that the interface is friendly and I can run the app straight from the CD. Just thought I'd throw my two cents in on this list.
Well, I've noted your two cents. I actually checked out the software that you mentioned. After a little reading I decided to buy it as well. I know that I have yet to loose any important data (knock on wood) but I think that having this on hand and already installed will save me from eventual heartache should I happen to accidentally delete some data in the future.
